- Plein Air Show: August 6th, 2010
Come join me at the Martha Washington Inn Gallery for an opening of a plein air
show on August 6, 2010. I'll be showing with a great young plein air oil painter
friend, Kyle Buckland, who is pictured on the left in my painting below. That's me on the
right! It's been awhile since I did plein air, so it was a fun mission to create some
new paintings... even though it was in the 90's on most of the days! It was especially
rewarding to work with Kyle. We both painted from a similar vantage point in front
of the Martha Washington Inn one morning. It was very interesting to see our similarities
and differences in color and style.
- New Paintings Available - May 2010
If you haven't stopped by the Store lately, you're
missing out on some of my latest work. We've got some new paintings available,
including "March Reflections" which is a favorite of my webmaster! And
for those of you who prefer strict colors to improvised ones, I've published a new
color chart (also available in the store) to make ordering your favorite colors a little
easier.
- New Painting Available - February 25th, 2010
Tired of all the snow and cold weather? Head over to the
Store and check out my latest painting: A Path Towards Springtime. Bursting with
warm tones to help you shake off the winter chill, it may be just the piece you're
looking for!
- New Website Launched - February 2010
Welcome to my new website. We've tried to improve the organization and layout to
help you find what you're after quickly. Enhancing the user experience was our top
priority for this new version and I hope you find it much more to your liking. So look
around and make yourself at home.
- See My Latest - February 26th, 2010
I'll be exhibiting some of my latest pieces at the Fountain City Art Center on February
26th, 2010. Come on out and say hello, I'd love to meet you!
- Visited a Gallery Lately?
Come visit gallery director Polly Mallory at my newest gallery location inside the historic
Martha Washington Inn. Abingdon is a beautiful town with many restored buildings and
a quaint atmosphere reminiscent of colonial Williamsburg. It is also the home of the
famed Barter Theater and a wonderful 33 mile hiking and biking trail called the
Virginia Creeper Trail. This gallery is brand new but already has made a big splash.
There is a bright future ahead and I am thrilled to be included among the small
group of artists exhibiting there.
